EFCC arrests 120 suspected internet fraudsters (Ladun Liadi Blog)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the arrest of 120 suspected internet fraudsters in a nationwide operation. The suspects were arrested in different parts of the country including Abuja Lagos and Port Harcourt following intelligence reports and surveillance activities. The EFCC stated that the suspects were involved in various forms of internet fraud such as romance scams identity theft and phishing. The commission also recovered several items including laptops phones and cars believed to have been acquired through fraudulent means. The EFCC has continued to intensify its efforts in the fight against cybercrime and urges the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
