In a recent directive the Governor of Enugu State Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has given his commissioners an ultimatum to either defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) with him or resign from their positions. The governor who is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) made this statement during a meeting with his cabinet members where he announced his intention to join the APC. He urged his commissioners to follow his lead and join the ruling party stating that it is in the best interest of the state. This directive has caused controversy and raised questions about the governors loyalty to his party.
