Falana warns FCTA against sealing of embassies (Linda Ikeji Blog)
Lawyer and human rights activist Femi Falana has issued a warning to the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) against the sealing of embassies in Abuja. Falana stated that such actions violate international law and could lead to diplomatic tensions between Nigeria and other countries. He also pointed out that the FCTA does not have the legal authority to seal off diplomatic premises without the consent of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Falana urged the FCTA to find alternative means of resolving any issues with the embassies rather than resorting to extreme measures. He emphasized the importance of upholding international law and maintaining good diplomatic relations with other nations.
