According to an aide of former Lagos State governor Bola Tinubu Peter Obi a former governor of Anambra State may have a chance at the presidency in 2031 but will not be able to secure the position of vice president in 2027. The aide stated that Tinubu who is rumored to be eyeing the presidency in 2023 has already secured the support of key political players for the position. This statement comes amidst speculation about potential presidential candidates for the 2023 election. Obi a prominent figure in the opposition party has been considered a potential candidate for the presidency in the past.
