Medical doctors in Ondo declare three-day warning strike over neglect of health sector (Daily Post)
Medical doctors in Ondo State Nigeria have declared a three-day warning strike in protest of the neglect of the health sector. The strike was announced by the State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and is set to begin on July 10th. The doctors are demanding better working conditions improved welfare packages and the implementation of the new minimum wage for all healthcare workers. They also expressed concern over the lack of medical equipment and inadequate staffing in hospitals which they believe has contributed to the poor state of healthcare in the state. The strike is a call for the government to take urgent action to address these issues and improve the healthcare system in Ondo State.
