PDPs reconciliation suffers setback as Wike pulls out (Daily Trust)
The reconciliation efforts of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have suffered a setback as Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has pulled out of the process. This comes after a meeting between Wike and the partys National Working Committee (NWC) failed to resolve the issues that led to his initial withdrawal from the reconciliation committee. Wike had previously criticized the NWC for not consulting with him before making decisions and accused them of being biased towards certain party members. This setback is a blow to the PDPs efforts to unite and strengthen ahead of the 2023 general elections.
