In a surprising turn of events the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Akwa Ibom State Orman Esin has resigned from his position following the defection of Governor Udom Emmanuel to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Esin who was appointed by Governor Emmanuel in 2019 cited personal reasons for his resignation. However it is believed that his decision was influenced by the governors defection as he had previously stated his loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
