Amaechi would’ve taken the glory if I supported Atiku to win election – Wike (Daily Post)
In an interview Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State claimed that if he had supported Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election former Governor Rotimi Amaechi would have taken credit for his victory. Wike stated that Amaechi had a history of taking credit for the achievements of others and he did not want to give him that opportunity. Wike declared that he would not support anyone for president based on their political party but rather on their ability to develop the country.
