WASSCE: Knocks for WAEC over late night exam (Daily Trust)
apeThe West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has faced criticism from parents teachers and other stakeholders for their handling of the delay in conducting English Language Paper 2 in the ongoing 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Videos and pictures have emerged showing candidates writing the exam late at night with some centres lacking proper electricity and candidates using touch lights and mobile phone flashlights. English language is a crucial subject for admission into higher institutions making the delayed exam a concern for students. The delay has been attributed to the reprinting of question papers after a reported leak a few days before the exam. WAEC has apologized for the delay in conducting the exam.
