    While monetary compensation is vital, it can never truly replace 18 lost years, the trauma, humiliation and stigma, loss of normal life e.t.c. Therefore, a truly fair resolution must also encompass public acknowledgment of the injustice, measures to prevent recurrence, and comprehensive support for the individual to rebuild their life.
