Hit-and-run driver kills police officer in Gombe (Daily Post)
ing to identify and apprehend the hit-and-run driver.The Gombe State Police Command has confirmed the death of ASP Clement Yunana who was killed in a hit-and-run accident. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening in Tumfure Akko Local Government Area. Yunana who was attached to the Railway Police Outstation was struck by an unidentified vehicle while attempting to cross the road. The driver fled the scene leaving the officer with serious injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The police have launched an investigation and are searching for the hit-and-run driver. The Commands spokesperson has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in identifying and apprehending the culprit.
